The Sheriff came to our school with a rifle and a pistol. He lectured us about not ever touching a firearm without adult supervision. Taught as to never put our finger on the trigger until we were ready to fire. Told us to never point our firearm at anything we were not willing to destroy. Treat all guns as though they were loaded. Make sure of your target and make sure there is nothing beyond it and that you have a good back stop. We didn't fire any guns that day. It was in the class room. I never forgot it.
