Then the adults themselves, hence the children were murdered because they dont have the understanding of what was going on. I did read several. Since the adults were caught up in his cult beliefs, they were responsible for killing their children. Jones was responsible for convincing the adults to commit murder & suicide...therefore, ultimately responsible for killing all of the cult member.
