The photo does make me wonder what the context was. :)

It was some early SWJ that were members of the Free Palestine movement. We had a big to do in Seattle where a young lady got bulldozed by Israeli forces after being repeatedly warned. Turned out it was a house of terror, she died, and every year their is a candlelight vigil that all the news covers for the 8 people bored enough to show.

No sorry. Israeli forces killed a girl from Seattle when she was doing a "study abroad" in Palestine. Not that I would have begrudged them. ;)

That's very sad.

It is but she was, lime the folks above, involved with hiding guns and helping the PLO. By putting an American face on a terrorist group.
What is sad is how duped the kid was. The PLO were masters of media manipulation. They'd sign a treaty, rocket a town the next day. When rocket locations were hit. They would have a martyr family there to take the call and use their deaths for propaganda. There is even YouTube video of a dead Palestinian falling out of a coffin. He was "killed" by defense forces. Problem is he climbed back into it. All staged.

The sad part for me is the people in the West being drawn to it.

I hear you. There is s "save" people mentality that is easily manipulated in young Western kids. I think it stems from. Lack of real purpose, an overdeveloped sense of self, and hubris.
