My reaction to self-proclaimed expert parents on facebook.

My understanding is she was putting another child in a stroller at the time. It's not like she was taking selfies or something.

Tbh, idc if she was twerking. Most people getting mad and calling her negligent are people on the internet, and most of them neglect their children to live on social media. And most of the goid parents realize that sh*t like this happens when you're a parent- especially in busy places like the Cincinnati Zoo

Most parents who are neglecting their children to be on social media are doing so at home, not in a busy crowded public place. And if I was to believe the testimony from the parent of this child, just a few moments prior to the kid falling in the kid asked if he could swim with the gorillas. If the kid was really wanting to swim with the gorillas and had that idea in their mind, don't you think you would want to watch and make sure the kid doesn't try to do anything? And when you say "shit like this happens" how often does a kid fall into an exhibit at a zoo? If this really is a common place occurrence, then really the majority of the blame should be on the zoo for making it so easy to fall into an exhibit.

I'll say this and leave it at that; You obviously do not have kids.

Why would it matter if I have kids or not? That doesn't change the fact that it is not a common place occurrence to have kids (or people in general) fall into zoo exhibits that would put their life in danger. In fact the zoo had stated this was the first incident they have had in 38 years. So either the zoo has the best barricades around all their exhibits and this kid was some form of ninja to get past them, or parents had kept a better eye on their kids in these 38 years. Facts don't change based on whether or not I have kids.

Facts don't change based on if you have kids or not, but your perspective does. Tell any hardworking, stay-at-home mom that her job is easy; I'll come by with my video camera xP

cause i don't have kids but i am not negligent with my sisters kid i keep on my computer all day so i don't *accidentally* kick him thinking it was a football
