Not really. WWII was a necessary evil. The US didn't even want to be involved at first, but Hirohito more or less left us with no choice. Every war the US has been involved in since then, on the other hand, has been either political, or more often, a manufactured threat intended to justify the outrageous amounts of money our government spends on ways to efficiently kill large numbers of people.
