DSM called it such through DSM-4. Then without following rules for study result changes before albeit rarely reclassifying an illness, they said gender dysphoria is a disorder but only if patient is discontent. This is like saying you only have cancer if you are in pain. These people will worsen just like untreated cancer worsens, and now we applaud it and let them deteriorate, rather than help them.
