I haven't watched/read the series so idk

I tried the Hobbit once, and when I finished reading it, I thought of trying the Lord Of The Rings. Then I saw how big the books were.

I've seen the movies (as much as I could stand before I turned them off).

I know what good acting is. It wasn't in those movies, no matter how many awards they got.

Elijah woods (Bilbo baggins) won a critic award for his acting, it obviously wasn't bad to everyone, but you can have your opinion, but how much did you watch them?

Elijah woods played Frodo Baggins. Bilbo is his uncle and the protagonist of the hobbit films/ book.

LOTR seemed like a skit or parody of itself at times. Those actors could learn a thing or two from the Game of Thrones actors.

No, you're not alone. Almost everything about those movies seems badly done to me. I have no idea why people act like they're good.

IDK about the movies, but the Hobbit was really boring (at least in 4th-5th grade). And so was the start of The Fellowship of the Ring.

Agreed. I think the LOTR trilogy came out during a time where so many big movies were over reliant on CGI and filming in studios, and some people enjoyed the fact that the majority of those films were shot on location. Doesn't make them good films though, just good timing I suppose.
