What was your basis for this discovery?

1. A lot of her ideas are not original(this is probably why she claimed to have her philisophy figured out at age 10). I believe this is why so many people find her attractive, many of her views are great insights into religon, psychology, philosophy, politics etc. 2. She uses awful 'reasoning'(assumes oppents position is false with out addressing arguments then explains away his ideas with psychology. Plato's philosophy is just an expression of his desire for death, power etc.) 3. She rejects a lot of commonsense virtues like duty, love of ones neighbor, temperence etc. 4 Her entire portrayal of chistianity is a strawman. She treats all religon and mysticism as Gnosticism. There are other things too but these are the top ones.

Ya, she's an interesting cat from a human perspective. I think the youth experience coupled with an alienated sense of being also contributed to her perspectives. As for originality, for her time she was writing as much or as little as her contemporaries.
I'm not a huge fan myself....just interested in why you made a meme about the topic.

It seems like she despretly wanted to understand other people. So she came up with a convoluted theories to explain why they did what they did and believed what they believed. For me she offered(or at least appeared to) a way out of determinism, relitivism, solphism, materialism and nihilism without appealing to the supernatural. But i have basicly come to the conclusion that these things need some appeal to the supernatural(if only some far off primemover like of deism). Ayn drove me to Aristotle then who drove me tp Aquinas. She basicly inadvertently converted me to chritanity.

Funny how these thing work.

In respect to her originality the problem isn't that she has a bunch of unoriginal ideas(she very well could have come up with them independently). The problem is that she treats other thinkers who express the same ideas as at best useless(john locke) or at worst villans who will rot your mind and make you evil(plato, kant). In fact, looking back, one of the things that attracted me to her in the first place is that she expressed a view of psychology very similar to plato(that we are attracted to, automatically, what we perceive to be 'good'). Interestingly Aristotle, her only beloved philosopher, who presents a theory opposed to this idealism: that our passions don't always corospond to what we know to be good.
