I wish they would make a Dragonriders of Pern movie...for Anne MacCaffrey...the dragons in Game of Thrones show it can be done just need the right budget and if they could make a Stephen R. Donaldson's Thomas Covenant movie that would be awesome as well.

They would never be able to do it justice. Just like trying to make Ursula LeGuin Wizard of Earthsea movies. Nobody can write good scripts anymore. Look what they did to the Narnia books.

narnia was kinda childish though to begin with...dragon riders and Thomas Covenant are dark

Been a long time since I read Donaldson. He was a good writer but to depressing for me. I'm more fond of Piers Anthony. I liked his Incarnation series.
