Nice try, but your mixing your "Latins." The Latins were a tribe that became the Romans ad we know them. Any area they conquered became latinized. Their language took on layin roots. Much like English and French, the Spanish were much more rooted. Obviously English took the bulk from the Angles, the french, the Gauls. Spain retained the base Latin and spread to Latin America when they conquered. Oddly. The Romanian people speak Romanized Latin to this day.
