LOLOL That was a major plot device in the Humphrey Bogart movie THE CAINE MUTINY. Bogey played Captain Queeg, a paranoid USN World War Two commander. Queeg flipped out one night when a ship's crew member had an extra helping of strawberries for dessert. (It's really a good drama, and this paragraph doesn't do it justice, but it explains my comment.)

I just don't watch enough movies! That sounds like a classic.

It IS a classic. So much in fact, that when comedians impersonate Bogart, a good percentage do his court-martial scene from that movie.
