For the record, I'm quite proud of my shoddy photoshopping to make his sash say "front page" :P

I was reading an "Alternatives to Photoshop" article and it mentioned an online editor, pixlr.com. When I get brave, I'm going to try it out. :-)

I actually use Gimp, which a free Photoshop-esque program. But I figured bragging about my "Gimping skills" would raise a few eyebrows.

I have GIMP (I use Linux Mint as my primary OS) but haven't played with it much. If I need to do something with an image I boot into Windows and use Irfanview. I'm going to give pixlr a try though.

BTW, I wouldn't call your image manipulation skills "shoddy". Looks pretty good to me.
