Hard not to when everything I create just goes to the blackhole of imgflip.

Might be partly a timing issue. Don't submit before 11 AM, people on West Coast probably won't be as likely to see it before 8 AM pacific time. Also, Imgflip has a large component of cult of personality circle jerk, IMO.

When it comes to original memes, which I classify as any template that is not already in the system and you have to tag and title it before it can be submitted, all of mine has taken at least 6 hours to get featured, no matter how old it is. After it finally gets featured, it is listed on page 9 or later, which means there is at least 120 memes before it ony the latest tab. So the time I post it doesn't matter, it won't get many views anyways.

I know what youre feelin. I like to do alot of original memes but getting realeased at a reasonable time is the pain. I throw in standards to keep the flow goin but the amount that never make it past the submitted line. Frustrating.

I did. I go thru slumps. This wek was not bad, but all the good stuff 30 -40 views. I dont get their methods, ratio of views to upvotes. 200 views 4 likes and it keeps going or 30 views n 8 likes and stalls out. I dont know how they get 25 ups in an hour and first or second page in less than a day.

It has to do with them being on the top 10 users constantly. Being on that list attracts people to their profile, which takes people to their new memes, which gets those to the front page, and then keeps them on the top 10 users list.
