All of mine that were submitted went to the front page but they were bumped quickly by others that were put there after. I think it's an order of received type of thing.

I am not talking about the front page of the latest memes, but the front page of the hottest memes. But I have also had the issue of my original memes starting on page 9 or later, which I think is part of the problem as well on why they get little views.

I don't know the formula. Hottest means most upvotes? Comments? Who knows?

I don't think you are understanding what I have been saying. Top users constantly get original memes onto the front page normally within a day, sometimes 2. None of my original memes ever stand a chance of making the front page because they start on page 9 or later of the latest memes, which means the amount of views they could get drops dramatically. So I can't see without there being favoritism for top users how they can get thousands of views in a couple days on their originals and others like me are lucky to get 100 views in a week.

The only thing I can think of is they upvote their own memes or have multiple accounts to comment and/or upvote. It's not worth time thinking about it. I just make mine and if they get there great, if not, oh well. This is just someplace for me to get a laugh not compete.

My question is then why even bother making memes, especially with original templates, if no one is going to see them?

They are seen. You get a count of the views and every one I submitted has many views. I've seen memes with hundreds of views, no comments or upvotes disappear in a day.

95% of the memes I have that are original templates have less than 100 views. That is not very many views in my opinion.

Are your templates used much? From what I see the same meme templates are used by everyone. Very few new templates are consistently used.

By the way, just look at the 3 I had submitted today. 2 are over used templates and 1 is an approved user template. All 3 are under 50 views each. Find a new meme by a top user that has less than 50 views in 12 hours and tell me there is no favoritism.

When I state original memes, I am talking about using images that I have uploaded myself. And the images I have used are not setup to be shared, just like the original meme images that top users are using themselves.

another thing is someone can view and upvote their own memes so it would not be surprising if they are doing it for themselves.

You cannot upvote your own meme unless you are using alt accounts.
