That is so true of the movie. My brother loved episode 7 (I hated it) but he thought it was stupid that Phasma did that. LOL!

I hated it too. And yeah, as far as character development goes, she sucked as a character.

I think JJ is trying to do her like Boba Fett. Make her mysterious and have people wanting fic of her surviving, etc. Only thing is, Fett is actually cool, he doesn't just look cool. :{

I know, right? Han dying was like the worst part of that movie. I thought the villians sucked too. (Especially when compared to Darth Vader.) Kylo Ren doesn't even have a Darth name. It was the first (and only) Star Wars movie without Yoda, Anakin, and Obi-Wan (even if it was only ghost appearance), and I grew up thinking 1-6 WERE Star Wars. This new one doesn't have the same... feel to it. Just my thoughts though.

I wish that somehow, Disney would go out of business and Lucas or someone who actually gets Star wars, gets a chance to do the real Ep. 7-9.

I've been tempted to make a stop motion animation of the real 7-9 with all my sw figures to post on youtube. If I only had the resources for it. (It would take a lot of paints to make the sets.) :{

If you haven't already, try some of the novels that were written in the 90's and early 2000's. I love the EU before 2012.

And Rebels is still great somehow. Like Disney hasn't f**ked it yet. lol And they incorporate a ton of EU stuff.

Visually 7 and Rogue One are fine, it's just the storyline has been so f**ked from what it's supposed to be.

Like how the Marvel films are barely anything like the source material.

It doesn't matter how "interesting" the Disney sw films are, they all suck already. Before seeing them.

They could have at least named Rey Jaina, and Kylo Jacen. But instead we get amalgamized characters. Rey being Jaina and Tenel Ka and Kylo being Jacen and Kyp Durron.
