So starting an organization to reduce the black population isn't racist, but white cop shooting black thug is.

Why do you think she " organization to reduce the black population'? You might want to go read up on what she actually wrote and said instead of getting your ideas from what are obviously propaganda sites that edit snippets out of her writings to make them seem racist and wrong.

The name of the organization was and is exactly what they always have been about : PLANNED Parenthood. Thus she was instrumental in helping make birth control more available to all not just to the wealthy. Thus families could have the number of children they could support, instead of being dragged further down into poverty by having too many children.
reply

Actually, unlike yourself, I don't assume what an organization does simply by reading the title of said organization.
As for your claim that I read only "edited snippets", that is false. I actually watched the whole interview she did with the BBC. At least, I think I did. Idk, you tell me.

Yes, she was an admitted eugenicist, she didn't try to hide it. She wanted to prevent those she saw as unworthy from having children. It's well documented and she wrote her ideas on how to "clean up" the human race.

Repeating a lie doesn't make it true, no matter how many times you repeat it.
1) Sanger was not racist, that's a fact.
2)Byrd had a change of heart and admitted he was wrong, and the NAACP supported him in his later years in Congress-- they gave him a 100% rating.

Let us know when you dig up any facts to support your assertions (you won't find any, but maybe you will learn something from the search).

You have Volta be pulling my leg! The NAACP so corrupt they'd give David Duke a 100% pardon for right price. Was gonna laugh this cause thought you were being funny. But seriously your naivety and gullibility and sheepish allegiance is literally depressing.

Keep on white-splaining (so far you think know better than MLKJr and the NAACP) and avoiding the facts, lol, that'll make your case.

Or, just maybe, read up and learn-- careful though, it might start fracturing your propagandized and abjectly false views.

You are such a bigoted racist. You have accused me of white-splaining twice(whatever the hell that means)defended the Klan multiple times, celebrated and defended a black, Hispanic, Greek, Jewish, Asian, etc. Baby killer to death.....you're hilarious. I couldn't care less what you THINK is racist. Since anything someone says, which of course you assume is a white man,(since apparently un your world all black people think the same and are incapable of disagreeing with your mature script) is white-spraining.I haven't said I understand racism better than anybody.you're argument is well presented, you've convinced me. I believe it's alive and well in America today. In you.

Everything you write is pretty much false and coming from your desperate desire that the lies you have lapped up on be reality. Clearly you have poor reading comprehension skills also, as shown by your bizarre imagining that I "defended the Klan", lol. Let us know when you can find any facts to back up your claims other than just this same old Atwater-Rove repeated-lies nonsense. To try and support your clams (which are lies, but you likely know that because you haven't tried to support them), go dig up some facts-- less projecting and blather, more reading and learning.

I'm not Catholic. I don't follow anything Catholicism spews. And I know a lot about this subject. You're blinded by progressive liberal propaganda that has been spewed for the past 50 plus years. I have studied a lot about this, including watching original interviews. It isn't difficult to see her hatred for blacks. She was a segregationist.
reply

Dude, as I've said, repeating a lie does not make it true. Didn't say you were Catholic, you are just falling for the propaganda that they started back then, because they were and are still against birth control. She was not in any way a racist, and the ONLY segregation she ever spoke about was segregating the "profoundly retarded" to keep them from procreating.

You keep making claims and can back it up with zero proof-- you clearly have not studied her in the slightest, but have lapped up edited propaganda without questioning it.
At the least you need to go to the WIKI page for her and get a basic foundation of facts. Or stay with the foundation-less propaganda, because you so desperately want it to be true that you cannot question it.
If you ever decide to really see the facts, go to the site below and read her own writings-- actively collected and saved since the 1940s:

You realize that there is a huge difference between keeping the severely retarded (we're not talking "Corky" here) from having children accidentally because they cannot take care of them nor do they even want them (hint: they just want to have sex), and killing them, right?

She wanted all the mentally retarded not to have kids, because she was racist. The liberals will sugar coat anything.. And yes, I actually do agree with birth control; But she wanted to FORCE them to use it.
reply

Nope, she wasn't racist-- repeating that blindly will not ever make that true.
She wanted those incapable of raising even themselves to not have children-- as we STILL do today. The doctors of her time were too loose with their definitions of "retarded" and "feebleminded", but we have clarified it today (and have more money going to their support), so that the functioning retarded-- the "Corkys" of the world, who can live alone and take care of themselves with a little help-- can and do have children, because they have support nowadays

"She actually held unusually advanced views on race relations for her day and on many occasions condemned discrimination and encouraged reconciliation between blacks and whites. Though most birth control facilities conformed to the segregation mores of the day, she opened an integrated clinic in Harlem in the early 1930s. Later, she facilitated birth control and maternal health programs for rural black women in the South, when local white health officials there denied them access to any New Deal-funded services."

.. and calling Sanger a racist is a baldfaced lie. Of course you accept the lie without question, because "liberal" sites must be sugarcoating the facts, right? Here is a verifiable quote by Martin Luther King Jr. from that Salon article you didn't read:
"There is a striking kinship between our movement and Margaret Sanger’s early efforts. She, like we, saw the horrifying conditions of ghetto life. Like we, she knew that all of society is poisoned by cancerous slums. Like we, she was a direct actionist — a nonviolent resister… She launched a movement which is obeying a higher law to preserve human life under humane conditions. Margaret Sanger had to commit what was then called a crime in order to enrich humanity, and today we honor her courage and vision; for without them there would have been no beginning."-- MLK Jr.

But sure, you go look for that indication that she was a racist, you obviously know more than MLKJr did about her.

I'm sure Mlk would 180* in PP. I'm sure Martin Luther King knows a lot more about racism than you and would be horrified at you defending an organization that murders tend if 1000s of future black scientists, orators, preachers, politicians, stars. Now your just projecting and changing baots midstream, lol. Yes, you know so much more than MLKJr about Margaret Sanger (remember, you claim she was "racist"-- stil waiting on your evidence).

And Planned Parenthood has prevented many more abortions than they've facilitated-- that's pretty much what helping women get access to bireth control is all about. When JEB lowered Planned Parenthood funding in Florida, within months the number of abortions rose drastically.

Cutting funding for Planned parenthood will INCREASE the numbers of abortions, because of increase in unplanned pregnancies.

Glad to see you admit she was not racist, now you just need to work on your strange idea that the organization is. Hint: cherrypicking and pretending like there are only "black" abortions, so you can pretend that by "race" she meant white race instead of "human race" (as the actual quotes from her often say) is your mistake. Try to look at the facts instead of starting by lappingup propaganda that states things you desperately hope are true.

You look at the facts instead o the pamphlet in the pp waiting room. The overwhelming majority of abortions by pp are minorities. It makes sense, democrats promise a utopia for managed lives of minorities, urban dwellers, white guilders...based on contributions from white guilders and fund confiscations of the working public. They (govt) does NOT. Create wealth. The people, that work do. They understand the finances are limited therefore since half the people don't. Like China and their planned Parenthood of male only births, which has proven a disaster for millions of horny Chinese dudes and the country....enter population control...I.e. abortions. Irs evil plain and simple. BTW I didn't say she was not racist. I said you misquoted me cause you're taking on fire from all directions. Cause like it or not despite what nanny and Obama and the view gave told you, the majority of people, as represented here...are against abortion. It was forced upon people with roe v wade. Had the people been allowed vote. Would've been squashed. Ya know, like your arguments
0 ups
Don't (work). Msnbc not nanny, even though does apply. Unfortunately many of them don't think for themselves. That's the harsh reality. Hence the phrase managed lives. Many blacks AND whites perfectly happy trading everything for the gifts presented by nanny state to them , from funds that were extorted by the strong-arm of the govt.

Repeating lies does not make them true, and dancing from question to question without presenting facts is your error. So now you claim she is racist? Okay, present facts, we'll wait.

What's really sad is you don't realize how you are white-splaining for black people-- somehow you imagine they are being duped and fooled by Planned Parenthood, instead of actually deciding for themselves.

And again, the data shows-- defunding Planned in an area leads to an increase in unwanted pregnancies in that area, and thus an increase in abortions ( a huge increase in Florida under JEB-- go look at the data).

Yes, Margaret Sanger had racist views. That doesn't mean Planned Parenthood today does. Just like the Southern Baptist Convention had a long history of supporting slavery and racist causes. reply
2 ups, 1 reply
He was the exception, and this is not a case of the exception proving the rule. The reason he remained Democrat was because his foreign policy and other such moral standards more aligned with them, even if he disagreed with his liberal colleagues on civil rights issues such as homosexuality and racism.
http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Robert_Byrd.htm
And yes, I do see a pattern. One of conservative truth-bending/editing and media biasing. Far right-wingers own Fox News and are using it to tell women and colored people to stop asking for equal rights. I have yet to meet someone who takes Fox seriously and has more than the most basic understanding of how the worlds of economics, civil rights, and foreign policy actually work. That's where pulling the wool over people's eyes comes in.
Here's another pattern: Republicans have a tendency to appeal to the anger and fear of people who feel like a change may damage their little comfort bubble that they build around themselves. The Republican party are rarely for things that are not anti-something. If there is any risk to the stability of their comfort, whether it is racial or gender equality, homosexuality, abortion, etc., they often oppose it. This is why the people most likely to support conservatives are some combination of white, wealthy, old, non-urban, and/or racist.
Final pattern: Ever looked at a political map from the Civil War era and compared it to today? You'll notice that what often used to be liberal is now conservative, and vice versa. So, yes, the two major parties have switched views over the past century.

Actually Lincoln stated at one point that while he did think slavery was wrong he did not believe blacks were equal to whites or in interracial marriage. He was a believer in segregation and an advocate of relocating blcjs out of the country.

The Emancipation Proclamation also only freed slaves in rebel states, it did not free slaves in loyal states. Black soldiers in the union earned less than their white counterparts and were provided fewer uniforms.

He also stated that if he could save the union without freeing any slaves that he would. So basically, he freed slaves in states that didn't recognize the government's authority and only to win the war. All other effects were secondary and history has been rewritten to make him into some revolutionary abolitionist when it simply wasn't the case.

But then John F. Kennedy pushed for Civil Rights legislation, which pushed most of the Southern voters toward the Republicans. And you are aware of the fact that Democrats actually preached States Rights in the 1800s, something modern Conservatives talk about constantly, right? That's why Northern Democrats were in favor of popular sovereignty and most Southerners were Democrat, because they didn't want the government to outlaw slavery and states rights was a gateway to keeping slavery alive. Of course the Dred Scott Decision split the party in two which led to Lincoln's election. And perhaps you would like to explain why many of the states that seceded (Florida, Texas, South Carolina Etc.) are some of the reddest states in the Union? Could it bet that the ideals of the parties have changed overtime, and Democrats have changed from Conservative to Liberal while Republicans became Conservative? It's a lot more believable than "Entire regions changed their ideals and beliefs to align with a different party".

That's some good straight liberal thinking. All it takes is an apology, some distance, and a man's word. Liberalism derives its power solely from constant bigoted lies about entire populAtion of people to its ignorant (which means unlearned, not stupid) gullible base about how they feel about their race and gender, based on things that happened 50+ years ago. Our side says how ridiculous that is and swears to and completely disavows it. When someone points out that a democrat SENATOR was not only a racist but a Grand Dragon no less. No doubt literally had black men's blood on his hands at one time...oooo he apologized, reformed, felt bad about it. Like a regretful drinking night where he donned a lampshade. But when 10s of millions of people completely disavow things that happened 50 years ago, that most of them weren't even alive for.....the oracles on the left completely see through the lies and Denounce them as racist. See the double standard?
