When the water gets hot enough, it will start to feel cold but it actually really hot.

It doesn't happen to me, but I like to keep it just warm enough so I can turn it up later if I want. Last year I did a polar bear challenge and ran into the lake in -20 degree (Celsius) weather in my trunks.
