There is a caching issue I've noticed, if you can't see the refreshed page when you know it's been updated, go to the browser URL/Location bar and update the URL to add something like "&a=1" at the end of the URL but before the hashtag (#) symbol which represents a bookmark on the page. It will be "ignored" by the server but it forces the browser, and any intermediate caching servers to get a fresh copy since the URL is different than any request it may have cached before. I see it sometimes when I get a notification, and you can't see it, or the view says there are 3 comments but you only see 1 when you click through to open it.
