In my elementary school we had a math teacher that also taught science and social studies and an English teacher for reading writing
But in 5th grade it became math, science, and reading

My 9th grade teachers were chill as hell
My history teacher let us eat snacks in class as well as talk and sit wherever we want

My English teacher was an absolute pushover, in addition to being quite ineffective. It was honestly kind of sad. She was a nice lady, but teaching was not for her. Period. Surprisingly, it wasn't until my junior year that she called it quits.

My history teacher was also pretty chill, though she famously took the old saying "you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped" very seriously. If she could tell that a difficult student didn't want to improve, she didn't try to break through to them. She just ignored them. And it worked.

The Gen X teachers were the ones we had to fear. The science teacher, in particular, was known for being very intimidating. Even my most obnoxious classmates behaved well in his class because he didn't sugarcoat anything. If you were putting the "ass" in "class" when he was around, he would go completely out of his way to make you feel like the biggest piece of dirt on the planet.
