It's really enjoyable to change and grow as a person. On one hand, you start a redemption arc, but on the other, you leave your old habits behind while also developing new ones. It takes some time to do so, but what makes you feel so good about it is that you get to learn from your mistakes a lot and get over things. As one quote from the first Lion King movie went, "Are you going to run away from your past, or are you going to learn from it?"
