Running to the local store to buy game

Maybe everyone who didn't know it was a poorly made, unoriginal, overpriced piece of garbage, and I don't know a single person, even ones who really like Pokemon games, who thought it was worth buying. Nintendo has once again made the same game for the millionth time and pretended it was something new.

at the same time though, there isn't really a way to know the quality of the game that early. gaming journalists have zero skills whatsoever so they're not really reliable, and they're the only people playing that early

Buildings are flat with a png glued to them, I think that's fairly telling about the rest of the quality of the game.

People can always just wait a day after the game comes out so they can find gameplay footage on YouTube, and see that it really isn't a very well put together game. Maybe if Nintendo invested more of their budget into the game and less of it into lawsuits, it would be a better game.

we can argue this all day, but at least we can hopefully learn from this

I try to have an open mind, and I haven't played the game, but from everything I've seen on it, it's not remotely worth the price tag. There's no reason for a game like that to cost the same amount as a masterpiece like Elden Ring, or twice as much as Bloodborne.

Pokemon ZA player and enjoyer here. This game is definitely different from all the others; brand new battle mechanic, far more skill-based. They brought Megas back, and you can even fight Rogue Megas. Needless to say it's a huge game with a lot to offer and I will glaze the entire Legends series until the end of time.

If you like the game, that's great, but it's definitely overpriced for the quality of the experience it offers.
