I'd say that MKW is a better game than the new sonic racing game. Mario Kart was also an original concept; with iconic characters racing on small, cartoonist racecourses. Sonic came into existence to be a knockoff of Mario, so it only makes sense that Sega would try to copy a game series related to Mario to try and leech some of the money that Nintendo is making. It's strange to me that Nintendo would even choose to run this game on the switch, because Sega is clearly trying to usurp the throne from Nintendo.

Sega made sonic as a way to buy in on the platforming craze of the 80's. The whole advertising idea was "Mario is slow, sonic is fast."

so they took an existing idea and made something new. that's not copying, that's building on the original idea

The whole intent was to undermine nintendo, which clearly backfired since sega wouldn't be a company without nintendo's support these days

sega makes their own stuff separate from Mario now and they're still a successful company, idk what you're talking about

If they were a successful company, they would have their own consoles

they DID consoles and they didn't sell well, so they just make games. consoles aren't a measure of success

It's not really worth it to argue about Sega. They are clearly inferior to Nintendo and most other companies.

i think their games are good (most of the time) and they're cool cause they price their games fairly and interact with fans
