Ok, I don't think Amtrak should go bankrupt, we need them, but Amtrak has never made a profit in the 53 years it's been around, meaning the US Government has to pay Amtrak for all losses. So in short, if Amtrak gets privatized, Government money goes bye bye, and a private business will likely take them over.
