The literal reason this war keeps going is because zelensky prefers throwing his people into a meatgrinder than actually accepting peace

He is not innocent, but he is competent, unlike Zelensky. The war is practically won for Russia. Numerous countries that helped Ukraine stopped because it was a waste of money and/or went to help Israel, and now because of the orange man, Ukraine's biggest helper will no longer give money.
And, although this news are old, Zelensky was sending sick and elderly people to war, just to show you how desperate he was.
Conclusion: the best solution is a ceasefire, but one or both of them will not stop.
