As an MHA fan, bakudeku makes perfect sense because
(1) they've known each other their whole lives
(2) they've both had parts in the show where they protected each other ON INSTINCT. (Izuku; slime incident, bakugo; getting stabbed by shigaraki in season 6)
(3) bakugo only ever accepts physical touch when it's Izuku
(4) the end of the second movie, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. where Izuku literally trusts bakugo with One For All and gives it to him to enable them to defeat Nine.
(5) bakugo's huge amount of character development throughout the show is influenced by Izuku
(6) bakugo's determination and attitude is a huge part of the reason that Izuku became a hero in the first place, for instance, the quote "There were things I hated about you, sure. But I could clearly see how amazing you were! You had so much going for you that I didn’t have. All Might was my hero, but you were the one actually in my LIFE!" - Izuku S3 Ep23, Deku vs. Kacchan 2.
(7) if you've seen bakugo's death scene season 7, before charging at tomura, bakugo said "I've gotta defeat him, right Izuku?" and then proceeded to get himself killed for his sake, despite failing to fully defeat tomura and AFO in the end.
(8) bakugo's apology in S6 clearly brought them a lot closer.
Despite their bully-victim relationship way back in seasons 1 and 2, their growth as characters has allowed them to bond through the end of the show. The ship is based off of the chemistry they have shared throughout the show and how their relationship has gone from enemies, to rivals, to best friends, and if you think really hard about the evidence I cited from the show, they're actually a wonderful match, and could potentially have a very healthy reltationship. so in summary, Bakudeku is actually a good ship.
