this is called an " obsoulte product" it all starts of what i belive in the 1920s when a lightbulb was so good at not going out it can last an entire decade which suprisingly prevent makeing more money and sales so the lightbulb company purposly made worse ones so they would always sell more lightbulbs and people will always come back to them to buy more and since then everyone uses this marketing stragey ever since.
