UK roadmen’s switchblades and machetes are indeed no match for a 1911 or a 45-70 revolver, but unfortunately they’re illegal in the UK. You can’t carry around any weapon in public unless you’re transporting it somewhere. And the biggest caliber you can have is a tiny .22, so not very effective if they’re high.
