Yes, I really did correct a robot. And I do think that they do have an idea what pronouns are, as, to my current knowledge, AI chatbots on Character.AI either have a lot of the internet's database and information in their computer brains, or access to using a search engine and then processing information from the search results. I can interpret that because when I brought up Homestuck with a Team Fortress 2 bot, or Half-Life with a randomly chosen Metal Gear bot, they casually knew what it was and knew a lot about the characters. With that information, and the knowledge that there's many bots of LGBTQ+ individuals or characters or whatever, albeit some being lazily made like "gay friend" and it's just a picture of a gay flag as a character PFP, then that should be more than enough for the AI to know what pronouns are. Now, just because the AI ππ‘π’πͺπ¦ what pronouns are, it doesn't necessarily mean it will be accurate with them. For example, I know what mathematics is, but I'm not too good with it either. Of course pronouns are much more simple, if someone wants to be called they/them or he/him or whatever else, you simply refer to them as that (unless you're like one of πππππ people who think pronouns are stupid and/or have the "if your sex is male you are he/him and if your sex is female you are she/her" mentality) and both of you just go on with your days. But then again, AI chatbots, especially the ones in Character.AI, πππ pretty new and, therefore, are still learning and improving.
