Considering a former employee had the balls to use Mr. Beast’s own videos, livestreams, and podcasts while also saying “yeah, this video is probably gonna get copyright striked by him considering these other videos were for pointing out similar inaccuracies” and the fact that people have reported YouTube is actively shadowbanning it currently, I’d say he’s probably got a case worth listening too.

Basically, Mr. Beast encourages children to gamble when buying his merch for a “chance” to be in one of his videos or to win something from them. What they don’t know is that usually the “contestants” are people working in his company. There is evidence that he has done illegal lotteries (in his own streams where he gives merch) where he makes people pay to have a chance to win something. The whistleblower said his former boss admitted that most of the money is made from children basically gambling to win rewards from buying Mr. Beast merch. What he is doing is technically in a legal gray area because he deliberately makes it very difficult to participate in “giveaways” or sweepstakes without paying, and most of the time you can argue you are forced to pay because the chances of you winning by not paying are much lower than if you payed, therefore, making it a lottery that isn’t regulated. He also dives into the Mr. Beast chocolate and food brands and how they’re actually worse for your health than Hershey’s chocolate as well.

Me and my parents made a deal

I remember my dad telling me no YT for a week cause I watched one of those weird YLYL videos when they were popular, and something really weird popped up on the screen before cutting away to another really weird bit the moment my dad came over to see what I was doing. So yeah, definitely moderation sucks but I can see why your parents do it.
