for the artists in the chat, Ima just leave you with this; There is absolutely nothing wrong with stylizing your art, considering that anyone who isnt drawing hyperrealism does stylize whether they want to or not. BUT, when you start to find your style, do everything with INTENTION. Unless your characters are supposed to have deformities or if the story is forgiving of loose anatomy, make sure to have so knowledge of what you're doing. Learning anatomy isn't just for more realistic artstyles, as it absolutely applies to cartoony artstyles as well. There is a reason why you're able to tell the difference between a professional cartoonists' work and a 5-year-old's, and its not just because of experience. It's mostly because the cartoonist is aware of the world they're building around their character. They're aware pf the muscles and bone underneath their characters flesh, even if canonically their character doesn't have any. They're aware of what colors look best when paired together, where to place the characters arm, how to frame the art. Of course, art is subjective, but in my experience, art is intentional. If you're just doing it as a hobby, as most people are, it's fine to not think about intention, but if you sincerely want opportunities from your work, at least try to be intentional.
