The pulse stick thingies. RobTop himself has used them in levels so I don't know why he hates it when people use arrows.

Yes.Imagine you in the most colorful tiles room with total of 99 tiles with 3 different colours with total of 33. Than when you walk around you see 1 tile were missing.
