The British was planning on attacking the Bismarck, but this would be quite difficult. The Bismarck had at the time the most advanced plane targeting AA Guns. Instead of throwing their best planes at them, playing into what Bismarck expected the British to do, they had these fragile slow old biplanes that each carried a torpedo.
My question is how the hell did the advanced German guns not kill the British planes, but instead British planes managed to cause an oil leak due to a torpedo which was a severe blow to the boiling room?
