Well, that's kind of the idea, you see: the guy jumps in front of his crush and takes a bullet for her, but it was only to LOOK GOOD IN FRONT OF her, making his actions a waste. If it was FOR her, then it would not have been as much of a "waste", see what I'm saying? Yes, but this guy right her wouldn't quit unless at least ONE of the two died, stopping them from being together. If it was just to LOOK GOOD in front of her, no matter what she thinks, it is periodically a waste. Giving your life to SAVE her, now that is something worthwhile.
