Pattye was awesome as the heroine Mae in the Maria Irene Fornes play “Mud” performed at The Theater for the New City, in NYC, NY. The play had its New York premiere in November of 1983. Is a play about rural poverty, humanity’s darker side, human redemption, and how Mae tries to rise about the misery that surrounds her; Patricia was 32 at the time- the play won an OBIE award for Best New Play in 1984.
