Here's the full story:
There was once a town in England that had a rat problem, and they were looking for a way to solve it, and once they realized that the pide piper could play his flute to lure the rats away to make them jump off a bridge into a river to kill themselves, they gave him the job of "exterminater". But this went on for about a month, and eventually, the pide piper went to ask the man that gave him his job when he could get paid, but the man laughed it off and sent him on his way. Of course, this upset the pide piper, so when the time came, he played a different song, and instead of luring rats, he lured children away from there homes, never to be seen again (side note: there are multiple versions of the story, each with a different thing that happened to the kids, some say that they met the same date as the rats, while others say that they just got lured into the forest and got lost, and others end it off like I did)
