I have handled dueling pistols from the 18th century.
In the UK you would need a firearms licence to fire them

My single flintlock shotgun took 2 minutes to load consistently.
My Tower .650 flintlock about one and a half minutes
My 1862 Remington .44 percussion revolver took just under four and a half minutes
It took about half an hour to clean afterwards ... And I absolute loved shooting all of them ! :~)

Just a quick note about Imgflip ... You can only post so many replies before the ability to reply is lost.
So .. The Chinese did discover gunpowder,
I know the Japanese adopted the matchlock all through the Edo period from 1603 to 1958
The percussion cap came into use around 1830 - I've own flintlock guns that were converted to percussion around that time.
