In my personal opinion, reincarnation only makes sense going forward in time. You probably lived through Hitler's existence, whether as a human or a cat or (Most likely) a random alien animal somewhere halfway across the universe. It's just that you don't remember it.

That does kind of make sense. I don't believe in it, however, because I view life as a construct of nature itself and only of nature. I believe we came into this world by pure chance. I don't think souls are an actual thing, an object being randomly tossed around throughout the entire universe.
