Keep in mind:
- This exercise is great for bring heat to the body and would work well in a warmup. It can also help to strengthen the legs and build balance.
- Start slowly with this exercise, ensuring that you feel stable before moving onto the next movement
- To feel grounded, it can help to wiggle your toes and feel the weight of your body spread as they settle back to the ground
- Exhaling through the upwards stretch can encourage a lightness to your upper body and stretch your abdomen
- If you find this exercise tricky, I encourage you to start with Warrior II or Peaceful Warrior. This will provide a stable base for this exercise
