It's true, folks! The US actually had women in Cabinet or similar high-level positions of executive power before the USSR (1922-1958), two of them in the 50s. This does not include the 25+ ladies who served in Congress from 1950-59. The USSR did not have a single female Politburo member until around 1958, more than 20 years after America's first female Cabinet member. They were a LOT more equal on this issue than people think by the time the 50s rolled around.
