It also gives me another reason to say: "Why is XYZ everyone's favorite part of the anime? Serena makes it annoying in my opinion. Plus, the X and Y games were bashed on so much, why like the anime based on your least favorite games?"
Don't get me wrong, the games are enjoyable if you ignore the easiness, but in my opinion, the anime drags down my experience of the games because of how the Serena acted in the anime, and I usually play as the female player character. And which female character in the XYZ anime is the female player character? Serena. the only way I get over my distaste for her customizing MY character.

I'm replaying Omega Ruby at the moment, wish I could customise like I could when I played Y. X and Y weren't worth it unless you wanted Mewtwo for ORAS, and now you can get it from UsUm. Pokemon bank on 3DS will be free soon, so there's no reason to get them any more

In my opinion, Gen 4 and Gen 5 were the peak of the DS, Gen 7 was the peak of the 3DS, and Legends; Arceus(Ahem, ARCOOS) was the peak of the switch.
And the anime wasn't really my thing. I guess the Gen 1, Gen 4, and Journey's were the best the anime had in my opinion. The Sun and Moon series was half-decent until Hau showed up, HAU they massacred my boi.

SM anime was terrible if you ask me. Gen 4 was the best for anime and one of the best for games

Since Ultra Sun was my first game, I had some bias, but still, they BUTCHERED Hau in the anime. Gen 4 IS amazing. I would know, I have Platinum. Platinum was the second Pokemon game I've ever played, so I have a bias for that too. My only complaint for the Gen 4 anime is WHERE IS THE GIRATINA ARC, I WANT A GIRATINA ARC. Also why isn't the Arceus Special not actually about Hisui? WHY CAN'T ASH AND HIS FRIENDS GO BACK IN TIME TO HISUI >:(
