It’s called Eugenics, a procedure of taking away the reproductive abilities of people with mental disorders. Or aborting them specifically because they have a physical or mental disorder.

There’s a reason why Iceland has almost zero people with Down Syndrome.

But saying the word “retard” is nothing like that.

Eugenics is a disappointing thing. It shouldn't be. But the common perception of ableism is hyped up so f**king much- "Oh, you're a monster for thinking I can't operate heavy machinery" or "How dare you call me different?". It's almost as bad as the idea of fatphobia.
