I never asked myself who the money was going to when I rang the bell for the Salvation Army!! I never asked what race the soldier was when I was a Army Officer! Therefore my money train ends for this POS organization!! I done numerous Remote Area Medical missions where people got free medical, dental and vision care. I could care less what race any person getting these services were! I owe no damn apology to anyone!!!

We never HAD to ask ourselves who the money was going to. This was originally -- and for many years was -- an overtly Christian organization that was bent on giving out the basic needs for any human individual: Soup, Soap, and Salvation. There wasn't a clearer or more focused objective for ANY charitable organization. Basically what The Church is supposed to do, but in a more active way. It's heartbreaking to see how far this organization has fallen. If the past 5 years have taught me anything, it's to look beyond the face of ANY organization.

After hearing about this on social media yesterday I visited their website. They address it on the site and are of the impression someone just wanted to discredit their organization among donors.

How sad. Even though I am not Christian, I give to worthy orgs when possible, and always before considered them a decent one. Will definitely be rethinking this. Thank-you for providing the informational link.
