Just a form of play some cats do. They don't really see people as another creature and we're certainly not higher up then them in their minds but they see us as other cats and many view their human as the alpha cat and are respectful but they'll push things to see how much they can get away with just like kids do. They do typically run the place and it's funny that they're so delusional that they really think they own us. Some play with us like they would other cats by jumping on our heads, attacking ankles and etc which many people don't care for. They also love slapping things so this cat slapping her isn't unusual. They also like to chase off and slap adult black bears, seals, adult male buck deer, full grown alligators, foxes and they rule over dogs like mafia bosses. They're basically fearless like a honey badger aside from their impossible to understand fear of cucumbers and zucchini. My 3 turds... oops I mean cats don't react to cucumbers but haven't tried a zucchini yet. Many do. Type in cats and cucumber gifs in a google search and you'll see many of them. They're weird little bastards that even many cat behaviorists can't figure out. Also way too intelligent.
