I'm honestly don't usually care for comment chains unless it's interesting.
I recently saw a spam comment chain from the exact same person, so I break it.
I mostly stay out of the drama especially when fights break out over someone breaking a comment chain. Honestly, I don't see the big deal about comment chains in general.
