A country doesn't fail by turning to the left. What you're describing is communism, which is such an extreme left-wing tactic that most left wingers don't even agree with it.
Left wingers are pro-environmental protecting and equality. In the next few years, we'll need that.

Left-Wing to my knowledge involves and on the big government which over time kills a country if it is not fixed aka welfare, lots of regulations, command economics.

I love the environment and nature, in general, I simply believe that as civilization advances it does less and less harm to the environment, and slowing said process will hurt the economy and over time the environment. Again I'm all for equality, but equality of opportunity not equality of outcome.

If you look at wikipedia it says that Generally, the left-wing is characterized by an emphasis on "ideas such as freedom, equality, fraternity, rights, progress, reform and internationalism" while the right-wing is characterized by an emphasis on "notions such as authority, hierarchy, order, duty, tradition, reaction and nationalism".
It seems such as that Left Wing involves a big government but is for equality and protecting the environment, and slowly getting better as a civilisation, whereas the right wing believes that the civilisation is already fine as it is and seeks to uphold that. But I may be biased.
