I thought that Mrs. Butterworth had no race, she was just a clear plastic syrup bottle before some silly goose pointed out that the syrup inside was brown.

Interesting how in less than 5 years (I think?) we went from wanting black people's faces on everything to removing their faces. What the heck?

we want black people's faces on things to be more diverse, but Aunt Jemima was based off off the white fantasy that black people would happily be white people's servants. Having something like that is even worse than no people of color being on things at all.
