everything in the ocean has bioluminecent waves because of bacteria or algae that produce a chemical reaction inside of their bodies when jostled or disturbed.

well, there is just so much in the ocean, that when they get disturbed by waves, they glow.
I found this out by peeing in the ocean at midnight while on a anchored sailboat. Its kinda like a chain reaction
