It's probably just that you're commenting a lot at one time. You'll eventually draw trolls as you get more popular. Biggest thing is to try and avoid politics as much as possible. I generally do, but I occasionally express criticism of Trump, which causes me to be a target of the Trump bots. Most trolls never say anything, they just downvote people they don't like. It's hard to tell if it's happening, but if your comments start going toward the bottom of the thread, or you might notice lots of times my comments in a back and forth will have fewer upvotes than the other person. Unless it's an argument, they should be pretty even, but it's obvious when it happens like that someone is trolling my comments. Happens to others as well. I and others have pushed for downvoting to be eliminated altogether, but it will never happen sadly.
