Fun Fact: This island, known as Devil's island off the coast of Halifax (Nova Scotia) Canada. It is named after a french merchant named Deval or Devol, and was established in 1830. Hence the title having the acronym (NS) for Nova Scotia.
But how is that offensive? Because in order for it to be offensive the person saying it's offensive, Is technically calling a single person or group of "Mentally Challenged" people "Retarded" because there acknowledging that for the word to be offensive then there would have to be "Retarded people"
