I’ve been homeschooled my whole life and, guess what, I’m bisexual. No one can make someone be LGBTQ+, it’s just who they are. Trust me, if it was a choice, there would be a lot less LGBTQ+ people mainly because of the sheer amount of hate aimed at us.

It's not so simple that people have no choice. It's very complicated. I used to drive a gay man to church. He told me the horrific things his mother did to him. She was crazy. I think some people have tendencies just as some people are more at risk for alcoholism. Nature vs. nurture is the way I was all human behavior, obesity, substance abuse, talents such as music or sports, and so on. It's a spectrum.

There is always a choice.

Choice is a problematic word. I would say a community has the choice of what to promote. People should not be canceled like the Left does. Everyone deserves compassion. I am not sure how much my decisions were a choice or not. How conscious is any of us? I do not have an answer.

The desire to have carnal knowledge of a beautiful woman seen across the room creates a series of choices - say nothing do nothing, say something do nothing, say nothing do something, say something, do something,.

Some choices make you a smooth operator with all the rizz while other choices make you a guilty of a crime.

When it comes to homosexuality I am not arguing whether it is right or wrong, I am merely stating that acting on the desire to engage in same gender sexual activity is the result of one having made a choice.

Factor in chemicals in the ground water and plastics like atrazine and you realize the choice was made for some of these people before they were born.

if someone is LGBTQ+, that’s who they are and who they always have been. I’ve had crushes on both men and women even before I even heard the word ‘bisexual’.

The reality and existence of an individual's feelings require no external confirmation. Perhaps you meant validated your feelings of homosexuality.

The social media involved was not a hateful space filled with idiots like you, it’s a safe little community filled with love and respect.

There’s a significant difference between how different websites would introduce one to the LGBTQ+ community. One might treat them with mild hostility, another would be disgusted at just the thought of it, while another would be filled with flat-out hate. The website in particular is not well-known at all, having around 30 people who even know about it. Over half of those people are LGBTQ+. Everyone is respectful to each other, and we’re kind to everyone regardless of religion, race, gender, or anything else.
It’s a dog-eat-dog world, as one might say, and it’s sometimes difficult to judge whether someone on the Internet is trying to do something hurtful.

Yep! I'm aromantic asexual and not fully committed to any political views right now, so I guess this would apply to me? Although, for the record, I'm in a charter school, which is technically part of the public school system, so I don't know if that counts…but either way, I have been privately homeschooled in the past and brought up with a Christian education (I am still Christian, if you're wondering). And I guess, even if I were a gay communist, the meme says "study shows [they] miss out", not "all homeschooled kids miss out entirely". Anyway, sorry for rambling, I didn't want to leave anything out and I went on for too long.

Don’t take these guys too seriously. I doubt they’re intentionally being so nefarious but some of them do have good hearts.

Just be yourself. Seek not validation but rather always contemplate with a guilt just short of self termination in any way. Be stubborn about who you are no matter if it’s lgbt groomers or rightwing trolls; or simply friends or family. But also find a way to be civil. Even with people who fear what you are. For we all fear obsoletion of some kind… the trick is to not let such fear run your life or your goals.
